Armin Strohschein
It all started with the innovative award-winning chef from Carinthia.
1985
Between 1971 and 1978, Armin Strohschein of Upper Carinthia gained extensive experience in the fine dining sector in Graz (Styria). As the owner of several well-known restaurants (Laufke, Winterbierhaus, Schlossberg and Rosenhein), he made a big name for himself. When he returned back to his hometown Klagenfurt, he became Manager of "Berghof" on the Maiernigg Alm until 1983. He alsoacquired the renowned Hotel Wörthersee as a top chef.
The Carinthian Spice Pioneer
After that, around 35 years ago, the cooking pioneer had a groundbreaking idea: Even back then, Strohschein recognized the dangers of allergens and developed his first product, "My Clear Soup" – completely allergen-free, vegan and, of course, delicious. True to his motto "Naturally good," the family business gradually developed further dry products, which, due to their tolerability, are suitable for all kinds of recipes .
MAISTRO is a strong family business established in 1985, with a special focus on dry foods from purely natural ingredients. We also prioritize the fact that many of our products are vegan-friendly, free from palm oil, allergens and lactose. After four decades, we offer a wide range of products, from clear soups to premium salad seasonings and much more! The Maistro range supports various consumers in maintaining allergy-friendly eating habits.
Our product is characterized by its high-fiber recipe and has become an indispensable part of countless kitchens throughout Austria. You can learn more about the origins of the Klagenfurt-based company, which date back to the 70s.
