Natural crystal salt is a pure natural product without any additives. It's origin from ancient seas impresses with its excellent taste and crystalline structure. Due to its natural state, our crystal natural salt is suitable for the preparation of organic products manufactured in accordance with Regulation (EC) 834/2007.
Salt from the primeval sea
More than 200 million years ago, an underground natural salt deposit of exceptional purity formed in the ancient Zechstein Sea. This gift of the earth, protected at depths of up to 750 meters, can now be carefully extracted using modern exploration techniques, without altering its original quality. The salt is mined using traditional methods and then meticulously ground and sifted in traditional mills, adhering to all food-grade quality criteria.
Natural iodine
MAISTRO uses 100% natural rock salt. It is untreated salt from ancient seas, unbleached, without anti-caking agents, unrefined, without chemical additives or flow agents, and most importantly, not iodized. Iodine is one of the 98 naturally occurring elements in salt – therefore, it is already present in natural salt.
